Interior LED Cheap

Yup, I ordered the 10 piece before I realized the 14 existed.. That's ok though, still do the job.

Noticed the ones on the lift gate illuminate slightly when they're off, it's because it's the cheap stuff and not the ones with the resistors. Doesn't bother me

14 PC set fit all the doors/map rear dome and lift gate but had 1 spare bulb left over. Didn't put any on the license plates/reverse but will likely order a reverse & LP set after I have a plate worth illuminating :)

If someone is looking for the Superbright LEDs... the price is a lot higher but this is what I just put into my 2013 Trail

8 cool white - https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...bulb-5-smd-led-wide-angle-wedge-base/206/919/ - these go in the doors(4) vanity mirror lights(2) and the overhead console lights(2)

3 cool white - https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...s/de3175-led-bulb-4-smd-led-festoon/238/1129/ - these go in the tailgate(2) and the overhead door light in the rear(1). From what I understand, these also go in the puddle lamps in the side mirrors if your 4R has them, my '13 TE does not.

I'm a little torn between the 2 sets. I know I will not be using the license plate light, but wonder if the reverse lights are any better. I have read that other reverse LED's can be unidirectional, and only light up straight backwards, instead of the the surround area. Oh well, at $25 for the bigger set, I guess you cant really go wrong wither way.

I just installed the 14 piece set today and had one of the flat LED bulbs left over as well. Huge difference in the light brightness and quality. The reverse and tag light look awesome too. Money well spent!

Do you have a trail edition also? If so, which lights did you not install bulbs in?(I must've dropped a pair  as I didn't install any in the vanity lights or license plate/reverse bulbs).

Yes, I have a 14 TE. The light I had left over was the one with the flat area of LEDs on it like the one used in the light above the rear seats and the 2 in the rear left gate. All of the others were used, 2 in the front map lights, 1 in each door at the bottom (4 total), 1 in the light above the rear seat, 2 in the back lift gate (door), 2 in the tag lights, and 2 in the reverse lights which total 13. I looked to see where the 14 light would go and did not find it. Is there a light under the hood?

 Man...I remembered counting 14 bulbs when I opened the package but I still had 1 left over(flat led/festoon type) and used everything you said except the reverse & tag lights. Maybe I dropped 4 of them in between the seats or something. My GF was calling me in for dinner that night so perhaps I just got distracted and lost count. Already threw away the package, so hope I didn't toss em :frusty:

Don't worry... For whatever reason the people putting the package together think that we need 2 of the flat bulbs for the dome lighting.. Pretty silly, I had one left over as well.

Well well, lookie here  I too can now join the one left over club, instead of the 4 missing club

Installed the dome and tailgate lights. Gives off a nice clear blueish light. Brighter than stock but not a huge difference in visibility. I'm going to resume install and do the map lights next. Taking out the oem map light bulbs with by big fingers proved to be a bit of a challenge, any tips? I don't want them to break off in the socket.
