Interior Light Dimmer Programable?

I often find I need to turn the interior light dimmer on early in the morning or late at night when its dark. Otherwise the radio/nav is just too bright. I swear that one time I got in my car the morning after dimming the interior lights and my Nav mentioned that I could setup to be automatically dimmed during certain hours. Is this true, if so how do I do it? Or did I dream all of this?

Yes, using the buttons on the center console near the clock, I think it's the MODE button (not too sure but it's in the manual). By holding the mode (or SET) button in for two seconds, you'll see the LL1-LL2 on the display. I know the set button will toggle between both settings. One is for bright and the other is for a dimmer setting; I leave mine on the brightest setting so I can see it during the day!

It would seem that your's has been inadvertently changed; which is very easy to do accidently by hitting the wrong button when trying to check the MPG average! If you have the manual it'll tell just how to change that setting, as well as setting the compass and clock! If you don't have a manual then I'll look it up for you.
