interior lighting prob ?

the dashboard lights that light up the speed odometer, ac controls, and gauges, etc... have all of the sudden gone out! when i cranked it up i thought the dimmer switch was turned down, but that was not the case, i turned it all the way up and nothing happened, anybody have any idea at whats wrong here? where do i go from here to fix this problem? thanks alot guys (99 limited, 106k)

well, first off, if you have messed with your lights, they may be reversed. they are polar so they only work in one direction.

BUT if they are blown...you are going to want to order new lights. the size is #24 for 1999 4runners. trust me, i have changed mine and #194 i too big.

IMPORTANT: check behind where the dimmer connects to the power outlet for it. it may have become loose from speed bumps or whatnot. (probably hasn't due to the strong clip)

eventually, you have to take apart the dash but eh, it aint bad.
