Intermittent Beep - parked/driving/truck on or off

I did a google search and found some people had issues with Dash Lights coming on, along with a beep. Also found some people who wanted to disable the beep beep, when using the key fob.

I do not have a key fob, no dash lights. There is an intermittent beep that is coming from under the steering wheel. It beeps all the time no matter the state of the truck. Driving or parked, radio on or off, even when the truck is off, it still beeps.

I thought maybe it has to do with an alarm? Not sure if the truck has a factory alarm, like I said, no key fob. Has an afternarket head unit ( was in the truck when I bought it) power locks, 1997 SR5.

Would like to disable this beep sound completely.

This has been a very common answer. Let me tell you, I'll be the first one to stop dead and start bookin it!

Bottom line is it's not a normal problem.
You're going to have to dig around.
Probably something aftermarket.

You could remove the buzzer I guess, or whatever it's called. But that doesn't fix the problem.

I'd start at your fuse box under the dash, chances are there's some janky wiring.

Yup. The factory beeper for both the early and late trucks is in the engine bay...
