Internal headliner LEAK (fixed)

On my way back from a road trip I noticed water dripping down from the rear seatbelt slots and a slightly wet headliner (where the C-Pillar meets the headliner). I inspected a little further and found the entire carpet was also wet! I decided to take apart some of the interior pieces to find out what was leaking. As it turns out the REAR sunroof drain tubes were completely disconnected.. I was only able to verify this by closing the sunroof completely then pouring water on the roof. While I was there I checked the front drains of which the driver side needed a little cleaning.

I managed to reconnect the rear tubes and clamped them down to prevent them from sliding off in the future.

I tried finding my specific issue online but only found other generation 4Runners with some-what similar issues. I hope this helps anyone with this problem!

You know I never considered the sunroof had to have a drain; but it makes sense now that I think about it. I wish we didn't even have a sunroof. We've opened it maybe 2 or 3 times in 3.5 years! Plus we live in Tornado alley and get hail often. Guess it's too late now!

Amen to that... Sunroofs are just an investment in future repair costs with minimal to no benefits.

There's usually 4 drains on sunroofs, two down the A-Pillar and two down the C/D Pillar depending on the vehicle.
[MENTION=166036]neatoneto[/MENTION] What year is your 4Runner? Has there ever been any work done to the vehicle in the roof area? I've only seen one other vehicle that didn't have sunroof drains connected that wasn't caused by someone fiddling with something back there.

Usually what I've seen is they get clogged up and/or frozen up causing water to flow over the sunroof rails.

It's a 2011. The drain that was disconnected were the rear ones that run down the C-pillar and across down to the back corners of the vehicle
