If you buy individual dividend-paying stocks, look into Clorox CLX.
Definitely been following closely. Big opportunity here if you can time it right.
Watching BA closely as their value has absolutely plummeted.
A bio-tech company working on a vaccine as well, INO.
Gold always seems to do well during a crash so following that too with JNUG GDXJ JDST.
Lots of potential with the bigger guys too if you're looking more long term. AAPL, AMZN, heck even TSLA.
A long ways from the bottom. Probably 90+ days before the buying opportunity. And then it depends on how deep and long lasting the resulting economic impact is. The economic impact and resulting damage to much of the worlds population will have a much bigger and damaging effect than the virus itself.
I'm back above where I was before it tanked. In fact enough to cover our living expenses for the first 6 months of the year. So I'm feeling pretty good. that's scary. I'm moving toward a bigger cash position. I expect when earnings start to come out, the market will go down again. Then the uncertainty of elections will continue the slide, then the big inflation will start to hit. Inflation caused by the gubermint printing all kinds of stimulus money. So yes I'm long term pessimistic.
One bright spot may be vegan food companies. there is growth there, and I think it will continue. I'm not a proponent or anything like that. But I see lots of people going that way with their diet.
I believe that atm the best opportunity for investment is cryptocurrency. It is very risky tho.
That sounds reasonable, doesn't that?the problem is to pick such assets with a great potential.
Great words about watching grass growing :bravo: one disadvantage about investing in stock market in my opinion is that you have a middleman, your broker. It would be awesome if I had the possibility to do all the purchases and sales of the stocks myself.I agree with you, but I really don't think it's that difficult. Just buying the index and a few KEY ETFs alone would be sufficient for most. The problem is people don't always want historically safe or boring growth. Some don't want to use time as a tool and invest for the long term. Watching grass grow isn't always fun, but at least it grows.
The problem comes when people want to try and beat the market. Big gains, fast money, trading and trying to time the market... often times comes with much higher risk.
Personally I am just a big fan of building a good foundation first then throw a little money into individual companies that you think had good growth potential. I have no interest in going YOLO all-in on AMC and GME. All my money I reinvest into my own business which I started 2 months ago after I had come across this platform for digitizing business.
It would be awesome if I had the possibility to do all the purchases and sales of the stocks myself.
You do... These days there are plenty of platforms to do self-directed trading without a broker.
I can trade as little or as much as I want myself without paying any commissions or fees.
