iPhone 4 released

Well, for me, i solved my little problem. HTC EVO is just not there yet with Iphone4. So, i am keeping my ancient Sanyo SCP-7050 with superb reception...but i did pick up a new Itouch 64gb on ebay.

Happy camper.

I've been using my iPhone 4 all day now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It's much faster than my 3G and the reception works fine. In my house where I usually only have 3 or 4 bars, the "death grip" affects the reception by one or two bars if I hold it for a few minutes. However, outside, no grip that I could come up with had any affect on the reception (even using two hands to double-death-grip it). I am not convinced anyways, since my reception fluctuates on its own even when I am not touching it (same with my 3G).

Conclusion: As usual, media reports are bogus and take something small and blow it out of proportion. I was actually surprised to hear that some on here were in concurrence with the media reports since we all stand behind Toyota despite their identical situation.

Thai, this is for you:

BTW, i just saw my brother's new Iphone4. Holy cow! It is one slick device...built quality was superb...so high tech in design! I can see how people are going gaga over it! The screeen quality is amazing. Like Josh, my brother does not have much issue with reception...he does have a case around it. Amazing piece of technology IMHO.

I'm also a fan of mine... but I'm looking for a good car mount. Preferably one with a goose neck. My idea is to mount it on the left side of the silver dash where the AC controls or the pop open cubby on the bottom. And then goose neck it about steering wheel level. I hardwired my GPS but I'm thinking about having my IP4 be my stand alone GPS. I also installed the scion radio and snagged the AUX connector from the junk yard too and installed it in my arm rest console next to the DAC button. I hate loose wires but I'm digging pandora radio.

Anyway... do you guys car mount yours, and if you do, what are you using??

I love the iPhone 4, if for nothing less than the incredible screen display and the battery life.

I bought a mount at Autozone, flexible stem that mounts to a 3M tape puck via a suction cup, much like a gps mount. I put the puck on the flat plastic in front of the gear shift and bent the stem up and over to the left. Works great, a little bouncy though.

I have my iphone4 2 months and absolutely no complaints. I have a case that I purchased around it and waiting for my free bumpers from apple. So far so good!

Just got my 32gb iphone4 from work. I had a Blackberry Curve before that and a Blackberry storm2. The iphone4 is superior in every way. I have not used any HTC devices or Droids to compare. But this iphone is very intuitive. I can VPN into my house, view my security cameras and access my fileserver with ease
