Good review. I think that there is something off with data speed on iPhone for sure. At times, it is fast...other times, it is slow. This is probably software related. Battery life testing is contradictory to above tests...but, i guess it can go either way depending on use.
I don't get the reviewer above...he said Android apps crashes, but in the end gave the win to Android due to customization and rooting. Different priorities i guess. The guy fell for the resolution number...yeah, that really doesn't matter on any smartphone screen size. Now, if the screen size was 32" or 46", then yeah, higher resolution matters.
But, nonetheless, it looks like a fair review.

Speaking of cameras.......does anyone have experience with the Nokia 920? Apparently Engadget did a conparison of image stability between the iPhone 5 and the 920 and surprisingly the i5 didn't do too well. The test was also done at the Nokia facility in Sweden so I guess take it with a grain of salt.

Nokia traditionally has excellent cameras...so I would believe Engadget! Unfortunately, with Nokia, you are stuck on Windows, which is a good platform but too new (few apps). And if you think apple is restrictive, Windows is even worst!

Koz, your post is full of flaws! Let's begin.
1. You have NOT found any info to back up any of your claims...nada from any respectable source. I have. ALL MY SOURCES are legitimate, well-known, and independent. No blogs. That should end discussion right there. You posted blogs from some unknown guy talking about iPhones BEFORE it was even release...so, it was mere speculation. That is just plain stupid!
2. Does your GS3 have Jellybean? I have asked repeatedly and you have looked the other way. I know why...IT IS BECAUSE NO GS3 in the USA has JB. None. Actually, only Polland GS3 have JB...and that GS3 uses a whole different processor than what you have.
Repeat, your GS3 has a dual core S4 processor. No matter what software acceleration JB has, your processor is LIMITED in performance because it has limitations of A9 core design!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is FACT. No way around this. You can dream all you want Koz...but you are an idiot if you don't see what EXPERTS in the field have said.
Just like your display argument...DisplayMate is well-known in its field for giving detail evaluation of displays.
So, the battery comparo mentioned is 100% LEGIT. Because it compares the CURRENT iPhone 5 to the CURRENT Galaxy S3. Fair fight. Your GS3 won't get JB until October, if not even later! By that time, Apple probably is already on a later version of iOS 6! Hell, just imagine what battery life i would have with iOS 7 or even 10...because who knows when you will get JB!!Get it?!
3. Where does JB improve your display?? It does not. It just re-adjust brightness setting...that's it! You are full of sh!t when you claim that JB improves QUALITY of the screen, e.g. saturation. You don't know jack, yet still talk...it only proves your TOTAL UTTER IGNORANCE.
4. Browsing the net is very intensive on the battery!! Making phone calls or texting do NOT eat up battery as much as net browsing! WTF are you talking about?! The test above is for the WORST CASE...and it proves iPhone's tiny battery with iOS is excellent.
From the CNN article: "To get a worst-case estimate, I set the Pandora (P) app to play Web radio nonstop, then disable the phone screen's auto-lock option to keep the display lit. For a best-case data point, I'll leave the phone on a desk with the screen off, mobile broadband active and Bluetooth and WiFi powered up but not linked to anything; 24 hours later, I'll check its battery status. I don't look at talk time, because we increasingly use smartphones for things other than calling."

Apple A6: New benchmark shows Apple's A6 processor may be clocked at 1.3GHz
"According to a newly-released build of benchmarking tool Geekbench, Apple's A6 processor found in the iPhone 5 is clocked at around 1.3GHz, not 1.02GHz as originally reported."
For me, i ran Geekbench 2 app on my iPhone 5 (64GB Sprint) and got 1.10 GHz on my first run. After closing all apps, including Geekbench 2, and then reopening that app, i got 1.29 GHz with memory of 1016 MB. Score was solid around 1640-1644.

The GS3 in this head to head is with ice cream (OS) and the i5 had a hard time. Jelly bean is going to do even better.
Speaking of camera's, looks like Google is not going to be able throw the i5 a life line on this failure!

My local Apple store has a ton of Lightning USB cables in stock. But, no adaptor.I have ordered one Adaptor, but it won't come till mid-late October.
For my screen protector, i went to my local mall and let Zagg kiosh do it. I have had the worst luck in installing the wet protectors! The mall Zagg folks always do a great job, at least, the folks by me.
Do you have a protector AND Otterbox too? For me, i have always poked the Otterbox protector out and use my own.
For me, Apple maps has been unspectacular so far...average at best. Am i the only one who does not like the color scheme on it? Too vanilla...not enough contrast! I still have my Garmin app as backup on my phone.
I typically run two screen protector films plus the otter box protective plastic. it doesnt effect usage or touch screen abilities but even with two screen protector films theres still an air gap between the inside of the plastic protector of the otterbox and the phone screen so you have to push the plastic cover down to make contact with the touch screen (it feels almost like pushing a key board) anywho not a real big issue. I didnt go to any apple stores i just went to at&t as there an apple dealer apple shipped them a bunch of phones to sell but hardly any extra power cords and yeah im waiting on one of those adapters to come in October as well

Yet you claim superiority based on your flawed logic in your closed mind. You even blew off Android Central because it went against your twisted logic!
