I'll second Ram Mount. Not phone exclusive, bomber, and there are a ton of different pieces, the Lego of phone/phablet/tablet mounts.

I have a large yet to mount and currently using a Ram-O-Can for my phone. :)

Search around there are a few folks around here that have come up with some cool mount solutions with Ram products.

Mine is setup so I can put a gopro, my Garmin GPS, all that fun stuff, using different attachments and arms.

I have used this for my iPhone 5s but it is theoretically universal:
Montar Universal Car Mount (iPhone 6 / 6 Plus)

The suction cup holds great and I have only had to wash it due to loss of stickiness twice in 6 months. Extreme temperature changes do affect it. Sometimes if that part of the car gets direct, sunlight I find it on the floor but that is pretty rare and quickly fixed with a wash of the rubber suction cup portion in warm water and dish soap.

Would have shown a picture with the phone in it but that's what I used to take the picture. :smash:

Sorry if this a repeat. Anyone have experience with good quality phone mounts for the 2015 T4R?

Holy Moses, you guys don't mess around on this forum. I was just looking for some little rink-e-dink mount and next thing I know you guys are removing the dash and creating custom stuff. Nice! And now that I have looked at everyone's trucks in the picture thread I can start to see who is who. Crazy. All these options look pretty cool, but I am leaning towards that ram mount. Just looks easy to use. Not sure if I'm going balls to the wall like you did, but you never know.

ProClip for me. Had them in my last 5 vehicles. I get the universal holder as I change phones a lot.

Another vote for the RAM mount here. Particularly the "X-Grip" variety. The mount part is basically an expandable "X". Even large enough to hold my iPhone 6+. I'd say that that's probably the largest device you can fit in it but if you to mount something larger they've got you covered. Mounts seem to be modular and can add/subtract different parts as you need.

Not shilling for RAM, just had really good experience with their stuff and can see why you see a lot of the their stuff in first responder vehicles.

I know Amazon sells the pieces together for say an "X-Grip w/ suction cup mount", or you can go straight to the horses mouth and buy from RAM.

Either way, hope you find something that works for you. Given the price of a new iPhone i wouldn't it flying out of its mount.

X-Grip II Ram Mount

Your thread convinced me to go do a post I've been putting off for a while about my mount. Take a look over in this write-up.

I have participated in a lot of different forums in the last 13 or so years. I even built a phpbb forum and ran it, although unsuccessful.

Aside from the difficult start participating the community has been freakin awesome. I think after reading this stuff I am going to go with the RAM. Not sure what base to get or where to mount, but I will start looking at that now. Stoked to have a good group of people to get help from and maybe I'll be able to eventually help back.

I'm going to check out friggin idiots thread too. Thanks again everyone.
