is there anything other than the alpine 420 box that i can use on my alpine headunit besides that? i tried the rca cables and putting it on the aux or d-aux and it didnt work... HELP!!
when i bought alpine's cda-9827 a year and a half ago, the new thing out was the kca-420i (which allows you to control the pod from the deck). i was stoked on the idea, but didnt spring for the extra 100 bucks. so they told me i could just buy an rca cable and run it through the aux setting...it works flawlessly. i love it. i dont remember buying any other cables (or at least i didnt get charged for it), so i assume the $20 rca cable is all you need. but if you wanted to control your music through the deck, the newer ones (including yours) only need the kce-422i "full speed" connection...but from what youre asking, you could care less about displaying the artists/songs on the deck, am i right?skkiii_whhaattt said:what kind of headunit did u use? i have an alpine cda 9853/9854L tried the RCA on the back of the headunit that i have but they're front and rear outputs, the third one is for the subs... I know they have Ai-Net cables to RCA available. would i be able to use that to connect to my ipod?
