Hello
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a ipod charger for my 4R. I got one for X-mas but when I am charging the ipod and listening to music I get some interference, per the 4R's owner manual this is normal..

What year 4Runner do you have? I'm guessing it is a 4th Gen since you refer to the Ipod in your owners manual. Are you looking for an aftermarket interface for the Ipod?

I run my ipod Nano off of a charger that runs off of the 110V in the center console... no interference whatsoever. It is a tight fit, however, when the charger and headphone plugs are used at the same time...

When you are using the auxiliary port and the external audio source is connected to the 12V power port in the vehicle you will get noise (engine) through the speakers. This noise can be eliminated by either disconnecting the charger/12v power source or installing an in-line noise filter (condenser/ground loop isolator). You can get one at an electronics store or someplace like Crutchfield.
