Is anyone running a Thule awning? Any other hard shells available?

The Thule hideaway 8.5 looks pretty good. Is anyone running it?

Also, are there any other hard cover option awnings?

So by hard cover, you mean the housing when it is rolled up is hard? Why would you need a hard cover?

....because that what is I hope to buy and am not a fan of the canvas covered one....

arb touring awning is hardshell. ~$800 IIRC.

Check out James Baroud. Not a hard shell, but it's bagless. I have one on the way and can give you more info if you'd like.

Are you mounting it to your 4Runner? Not sure if you're aware, but the Thule 8.5 ft length is pretty long and the front end will stick out past your roof.
