Is giving or receiving a battery boost a "More Sensitive Issue"

Is giving or receiving a battery boost a "More Sensitive Issue" with the T4R? I have always given and received boosts w/o a problem on my other trucks. My 07 V6 2WD T4R has more electronics than my other trucks (1993 Etc back)). Are there any precautions other than pos to pos and neg to neg. As use a good neg away from the good battery last or disconnect Etc? jow

Thanks Barry! I thought the info would be in the owners manual also but d/n see it. Plus, I would like to know if there are any built-in safeguards as a fuses or etc if the cables are accidentally reversed vs frying something. Such as, I had a battery charger once that w/n come on if the cables were reversed or below 1.5V. A 1.5 flashlight batt could start the charger and you transferred it to the dead battery and hopefully with the correct polarity.

Has anyone fried anything due to reversed cables? jow
