Is Hilux Surf exactly the same as 4runner?

I have a 2003 V8 4wd Limited 4Runner and am interested in Tail lights and head lights from the Hilux Surf. (I'm going to Tokyo/Yokohama early May for about a month). Does anyone know if these headlights or tail lights are a direct replacement?

Yes they are. If you search a while back, a few people have them installed on their 4Runners.

Yes OK!
But headlights adjustment is required.
Surf's headlight-axis for Left-hand traffic.

I understood what you were saying and have never thought about that or read it anywhere, so thanks a lot for sharing. I knew they needed to be aligned, but didn't realize it was because of left-hand traffic. Good to know.

They are smoked. Maybe there is another difference like no yellow in the light, but I'm not sure. There are also JDM taillights that are black as opposed to the silver/clear.

Hey iForce, I found a place called www.japanparts.com that sells them for 395$ Canadian (rough conversion). I don't know how much the shipping charges would be, (probably alot) or how good the reputation of the shop is. (I have no affiliation with them, just saw they had them cheap). They are based in Tokyo so I am going to check them out when I get there in May. They feature a bunch of other parts for the Hilux Surf that are pretty hard to come by. If you need any info let me know. Like my 4runner, my wife is also a Japanese Import so she can get us any information we need from them. Hopefully she wasn't looking over my shoulder when I compared her to my truck. Ooops, gotta go.

Hiluxsurf's user is favorite exchange 4R's headlights.
But Japanese-traffic-law is severe.
(Exterior&interir mods easy,safety parts not easy)
Japanese Surf's owner has difficulty thats adjustment.
