Is it just me? Or do we not have Auto Headlights?

I hope I don't regret asking, in fear of looking like a dummy.

Does your 4Runner have Auto Headlight Feature? Because I can't seem to figure it out on my 4Runner.

I can set the headlights to on, and they will auto shut off after I close & lock the doors after X amount of seconds.. However, during the day, I have to turn the head lights off manually, because they are still on.

Is it just me? Or am I a dummy? go easy on me, :wacko:.

Only the limited have auto lights I believe.

and those suckers won't aytomqticallly go off either, i think they might if you lock it which i didn't and it kilt my battery couple nights ago

Mine goes off automatically, but it takes a minute or so it seems. It will go off if you hit the lock button, but then you're defeating the purpose of using the door lock sensor. I wish they would have made it where the headlights turn off when you kill the ignition.

One of the very few dislikes I have about my T4. I let them know in a few surveys that it should be an option for all models.

I use mine in semi-automatic mode. Turn them on with the switch, then leave them on. Hit the lock button on the key fob 2 times and they go off. Upon re-starting they will come back on.

It's funky but works for me in rainy, cloudy Salem. One drawback is the tail lights are on too.

In the rare sunny days I turn them off and use the DRL setting.

I have an SR5 Premium and leave my lights in the on selection. After a short length of time, the lights turn off automaticly as mentioned above. They will stay on if I have a door or the hatch open while unloading cargo but shut off​ once the portal is closed.

I do.... It serves as extra visibility and doesn't appear to hurt anything. It's down to personal choice

No, use the dial.
If it's dark- Turn on your lights
If it's raining- Turn on your lights
If you think the person in front of you can't see that they are impeding your way - Turn on your lights.

Easy.

TRD pro and limited have auto headlights. I know my 2017 TRDP has it.
