Is it possible to reroute DAC wiring / switch?

2 seconds is pretty quick, i got a china made one which took awhile to heat up. Didn't know there was an iron that can heat up that quickly. Checked it on Amazon.. Costs $500 almost.. damn... lol

$$$ Well what did you expect lol... it's basically the Snap-On of soldering bench...

And that machine isn't even THAT spendy... they have workstations that feed the solder for you too... around $1600

I have 3 irons... radio shack, an Aoyue rework station, and a Hakko... The Hakko is what you want on your bench, and its affordable starting at around $100.

IF you can spend $250 you can have their top of the line model which is basically pretty high end for a hobbyist or even professional, but its still no JBC.

Still doesn't have the auto on/off... I crave that feature even more than the speed. If I could do it over again id be one and done with that JBC.

This unit is also very good. Though it does take 8 seconds to get to full temperature. Most of the good irons are PCM controlled to put more power into the iron when it detects that you are working on a large piece of metal to keep the temp stable. The cheesy 30W radio shack soldering pencils can't do anything like that.
