When I had Silverstar (NON-Ultra) .. they did not last.
When I had my Accord...
• 9006 - Lowbeams
• 9005 - Highbeams
...I forgot what the wattage was, but the Highbeams were brighter.
So I bought a pair of 9005 & modified it and it indeed did fit in the 9006 housing.
Anywho...you can make it work, but it'll probably not last long, because High Beams aren't meant to be on a lot.
I would suggest the Silverstar Ultra a try...maybe it will last for you.

Oh, well I guess my question then is if there are any bulbs brighter then those stocks? Which seems to be the sylvania silverstar ultras

And if you are paranoid, just take out the Hi Beam & put back in the Lo Beam...no one will ever know.

Why are you guys talking about this like it's an interchangeable thing?
It's a dual filament bulb, not a separate bulb.
The stock bulb and the Silverstar Ultras use a 55w low beam and 65w high beam.
You can't run too high of a wattage before stuff starts to get messed up. I personally run a set of Hella bulbs with a 55w low beam and 100w high beam. They're not white at all but they get the job done. I have fog lights which light up more than the headlights would dream anyway.

This^. Only 1 bulb used for both highs and lows. I ran the regular silverstars but they didn't last very long at all (~9-10 months), and I the fogs blew in 8 months and another set after 4 months. That was enough for me. I went with PIAA intense white bulbs which have been way better IMO.

I was reading this thread and wondering If you even looked at the lights on the 4runner. 1 bulb... And yes the 1 bulb has high and low beams.
