Is it safe?

You my friend should not carry then. 911 is too slow, I know....I am 911. Guns don't accidentally shoot, and if you are not willing to get some training, and have the mental abilities to handle one safely and use it if required you are better off not bringing one to a fight.

Right, it's not "accidental discharge" it's "negligent discharge."

Here is a link Gun Control - Just Facts that should help everyone as all the statistics and charts are in one place. You can interpret some of them two ways but most of them, including Britain's policies and cause and effect are clear cut. Enjoy!

Lastly, Do you really believe that you stand any chance of defending yourself against 'the state'? The state has armies, tanks, robot drones.

The Taliban is doing a pretty darn good job of preventing us from winning in Afghanistan and, like the Brits in the 1700s, we've gotten tired of the cost in blood in treasure so we're leaving. The Taliban is doing that with little more than AKs and IEDs.

No, I'm not advocating armed revolution here in the US; it would be horrible thing. One look at Syria shows the devastation of such revolutions.

But it is completely amazing to me that otherwise educated people seem to think that a guerrilla war would be quickly won in the US, even though we have lost guerrilla wars on multiple occasions.
