is it worth my 315 bucks?

ok... for a long time i have wanted a cd player in my 3rd gen, but mom says we wont have the car for long enought, (back in 1996) 2008 we still have it, so i was wondering if this would be a good investment:

ALSO i am adding 2 12" sony subs, box, wires and 1000W sony amp, with the head unit

i am buying them from a friend, who i have known for along time! he wants 315 for it all, or 275 w/o the head unit, i looked up on retail and the subs and box are worth 300.


the only problem is i dont know if he still has a warranty, or how long he has used them, he is getting 2 15 Rock F and needs to dump these... i am wondering for 315 i will get 2 12" sony subs, q logic box, sony 1000W amp, all needed wires, and the head unit that will play from my ipod as well? WORTH IT OR NOT?

depending what model numbers.

if it fits your budget and you dont want to spend more. i would say its better than nothing. mainly cuz of the ipod hook up. if he was better friend he would do it cheaper.

what type head unit is it,if it is a high class head unit i would say go for it but if it isnt you might have to think about it more

Sony amps are great, but their subs and speakers, eh just watever not gonna be great sounding...

also depends on the HU...overall not a bad price though, just not amazing

ok... i got this freind that go in in the rear (rear ended) and totaled his ford exploder, he is elling his AMP and MTX 12inch sub for 300, i allready have half the wires.


so what i need is a head unit and some wires, but i dont want to spend more than 150 more, so i dont want to spend more than 450

ohh did i mention he has only had them hooked up for 3 months! and still has the warranty, and said if i buy them and they brake, he will return it and get a new one! what a BETTER friend! well i think i might go this way! um..

what is a head unit that dosnt cost more then 150, that will be good with this setup?

ok.. here is my system i got 2 day!

i spent 580 bucks, 80 on hardware from best buy

but 500 on this system, 1 12"mtx and a Rock Fost. amp with a nice box... my freind ryan who i bought it from only has had it for 3 months and still has a 9 month warranty on the sub, amp, and other hardware..... what a score!!!


i also got a head unit Pionear retail at 250 bucks, i will be installing everything when i get the head from him, (he didnt have it in the car with him) so i will be up and rolling in a few weeks!


but from spending 500 bucks today, i stoped by chux trux and picked up a brand new gorhino 3000 series brush guard, front hood protector, and new vent shade visors for my windows!

HOLD CRAP I HAVE THE MODS!
