Hi all,
I retired my '97 Limited from DD duty a few months ago. The more I use an OBD cable on my new car, the more I realize that I literally never had a CEL in the five years I've had my 4Runner.
That's not to say there haven't been problems with it, which got me wondering. Is it possible that my CEL is just burnt out?
I have a VCDS cable, which is an OBD-II cable, so I'm thinking of plugging it in just to see if anything comes up. Yes, there are software compatibility issues with VCDS and non VWAG cars, but I've heard I can still pull codes.
