Is that suede??

I was wondering what the material is behind the door arm rest on the interior of the Runner. Do you guys know if it is suede?

What I'm talking about is behind the arm rest on the door:

BTW I have a sport edition, I'm unsure if it is different on the SR5 or Limited since I only test drove the SE because it was the only model I wanted. I love that hood scoop

And another question. Does the Limited or SR5 come with a leather wrapped shift knob? The SE seems to have a rubber one with a silver insert in the back. I don't really like the feel of it and if I can get a factory shift knob that is leather wrapped I will. Anyone want to trade?:angel:

It is leather and yes the shift knob is leather as well.

Your limited may be an all leather shift knob but on the SE it feels like rubber and plastic. Look at the picture above and I'm sure the shift knob looks much different than yours.

The limited is leather and all other models i believe
are plastic like.

The side panel on the door is a suede on the models without a leather interior. The models that have a leather interior have a leather side panel. The steering wheel is leather on both the SE and Limited. It is an option on the SR5. Only the leather steering wheels have the built in audio controls.

2003 Sport Editions came with the leather shift knob. That was one minor change they made between years on this model.

I have a 2003 Sport Edition and I do not have a leather shift knob. My shift know is rubber with a silver trim. The only thing I have leather is the steering wheel. I did not get a leather interior either.

That's odd. Especially since you have the cladding which would mean it was an earlier build date. I could swear that was listed as an addition on the 2004s. I have the 2003 brochure and I think it shows the sport with the leather knob.

I don't have leather seats either. That was not an option on the sport's in my area.

My '03 came with a leather wheel and leather shift knob. For some reason I thought that shift knob you have, with the silver inset was leather as well. I think it looks pretty good with that silver insert. If you are still interested in a trade, send me a pm.

Yeah the 2004 Sports have a rubber shift knob with silver insert. It looks awesome, but I like the feel of fine leather.
