Is the second row fold down the same?

Really stupid question: for those of you with a 5th gen, how does the second row fold flat?

I am about to pull the trigger on a new SR5 with a third row (I really didn't want anything in the back at all). Previously I owned a second generation and loved it, and sold it at 270k miles. Tonight as I was checking something on the third row, I noticed that the seats folded completely flat without the seat folding first, but I could have sworn when I was looking at an SR5 with the sliding load tray, the seats folded flat like in my 2nd Gen. I have no clue if that is correct though. Do the seats fold different with the third row or loading tray options?

The 2nd row seats for the SR5 with 3rd row seats does not fold flat, it just moves forward. Only the 3rd row seats can fold flat and I believe that 4R with third row seats does not have the option for sliding load tray.

Thanks, that is perfect. After thinking about it some more, although I preferred when it was more flat (with the fold up seats or the current non-3rd row options), and the lower deck, the simple convenience of folding down a seat is going to win out. Actually my wife is the one who voted for that, and since I get a car, I am fine with her getting a seat that folds down without a random headrest laying around.

Wrong! They fold flat

They don't fold flat. They fold down onto the seat bottom and there's a slope to it and there's a small step up from the level of the flat 3rd row.

The seats without the third row fold flat because the seat bottoms fold up and forward.
