about. if its anything like the 1GR then yeah. you gotta remove and replace the manifold with the blower, pulley tensioners, belts, injectors, spark plugs, computer retune, it all adds up. a master tech at my dealer took almost two days to do a 1GR kit. it was 8k total parts and labor.

The 1GR must be more involved. And I guess if you add in injectors, spark plugs and a computer retune that would up the time, but 20 hours seems high.

Just the blower and tensioner should only be like a 4-6 hour job. That's how long it took me and a buddy in his garage.

unless one of my cars is under warranty, the toyota dealer will never see me again. I either do it myself or have my trusted indy mechanic do stuff for me.

You take off one thing and replace it with something else and a few other small parts here and there.

HAHAHAHAHA...i actually laughed out loud when i read this! LOL too funny & true...i have not installed a super charger on anything ever and dont consider myself a mechanic at all. However i have done alot of mods and fixed a few mechanical issues i have had, common sense and knowing how to read directions goes along way...lol! Take off a few parts and add a few parts is all you really do...oh and then u run premium fuel LOL!! you forgot that Rip! :lmao:

Directions given from manufacturers are pretty vague, the write-ups on a forum are much better, but i still just take them with a grain of salt and just start ripping sh*t apart, its the best way too learn how to actually do stuff.
