Is this 4th gen really worth $26k?

Bought mine from them. It's what they sell. They are good guys when They will find their buyer. Some one will pay that for an unmolested v8 calfirnia car. Mine has zero rust and dealer service records from San Diego. For its whole lfe and I bet this one does to.
 
I get the draw for others around the country and in CA to pay those astronomical prices for 4Runners with "no rust" but being in Phoenix we have them come up at lower prices and if its a AZ SUV its better than any other climate around the country for cars.

My only advice is that things are only worth as much as you are willing to pay for them. If you plan on keeping whatever you get for a long time than by all means, but $26k for a 12 year old car is something I wouldn't ever consider paying.
 
I live on Socal too and know all about the highly inflated prices associated with used low mileage 4runners. If you look hard enough and are quick on the draw you'll find what you're looking for. I picked up an 06 V8 with 77k miles this August from a Toyota Dealer in San Bernardino. It was a trade in from the original owner within an immaculate car fax they even changed the Timing belt at 70,000 miles. I literally checked Auto Trader hourly for V8's within 500 miles for weeks. Saw a brand new post on a Monday night, no photos, just a link to the carfax. I took a half day at work the following day and was at the dealership right when they opened and bought the truck without test driving it other than driving it around their back lot at the dealership. Point is you can get a better deal than what Miramar charges. Though it's probably 5 percent diligence 95 percent luck.

I paid $13k for 2006 4WD V8 with 88k clean car fax. If you have to have a 4Runner with super low miles it’s actually not a crazy price. The thing with these cars, especially they v8’s is...someone will pay that for it.
 
$26K for a 2007 4runner? what the hell are they smoking??? I mean this is not a Ferrari or Lambo..
Ive got a used bridge, Id sell for half that :jump:
 
I paid close to that price out the door for my 09 Limited V6 with only 40,000 on the clock. Spent more than I wanted to for it but it was super clean inside and out so I couldnt pass.
 
For $26,000 I was expecting a stage 2 Icon lift, Gobi rack, full armor, and $5,000 in unmarked non-sequential bills on the passenger seat.

I paid 18k for basically the same car (55k miles though) just this past year. I'd say it's overpriced bigtime considering you could almost buy new for that money.

I would not buy. Maybe the thing is in mint condition, who knows. Take a look at that frame hard.
 
Single owner CA truck, low mileage, V8, 4WD… Very clean sample, rare find, with a pay to play price.

I wouldn’t pay it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone did.

While I absolutely love the 4th gen, for that money you can walk right into a GX instead.

I was happy to get it, sure I asked if I paid too much at the time. In retrospect I'm happy with what I got.

The dealer didn't negotiate one dollar off asking price. I really like the sport interior. I prefer the black cloth and darker plastic.
 
KBB says 12-15k. Even with 50k miles in barstow area. They are on crack. Go offer crazy low with a printout from KBB and leave your contact info. And check in every week and bug them. Either a idiot will pay too much or they will budge. They are marking up a ton because under 100k miles is so rare. They think they have a super rare vehicle and can mark it up 10k due to novelty.

We are in the same boat! Paid almost the same. How's your frame? I had some rust on mine, not terrible. All surface.

I am happy with my purchase and everytime I see that truck it looks damn good to me! Performance and comfort are top notch! Only thing that sucks is my 17mpg around NYC!
 
awesome find!! but i wouldnt pay that, mine is and 06 v8 4WD sport w/o jbl and i paid 16.1 OTD back in 2011 with 69k on the clock and it was certified. did i get lucky with that deal? yes, but no way is that one worth it. at most id go 18k only because of the rarity but thats just wayyyy to high. i agree with printing out the kbb and leaving your number and bugging them, they'll eventually cave to something.
