Is this a 3rd party remote starter?

Bought a 2011 4Runner from a dealer a few months ago and it came with a 3rd party key fob that has a remote start button on it. It doesn't work but my car does have this sensor behind the rear view mirror. Is this sensor normally there on 4Runners or is it a part of the remote start package? Does anyone know why it wouldn't work? The 3rd party key fob lights up when I press buttons so I don't think it's out of batteries. Can anyone help?

That's aftermarket. Also, if you are mechanically savvy, trace that wire to the alarm brain and figure out what brand it is. That will make it a lot easier to diagnose. It may simply be in valet mode.
