Is this a 4R part or random trash?

So I've been meaning to ask about this and keep forgetting. This piece was in the back of the truck when I bought it. It doesn't look like it goes on the 4R but I could be wrong. Does this look like any lower cover from a stock 4R? Hand for size reference.

Looks to me like part of the gas tank protector. Unable to 100% confirm though since I'm not at home.

Not all models have it. 2WD models do not, and I'm not sure base models do either.

Yep. Mine has it. '99 SR5. Right under the driver door, by the frame. Funny how mine's cracked in the same place.

Thing broke because I jack my truck on it. Drill a few holes beside the cracks and stitch it with tie wraps for a cheap fix.

What's funny is where it is cracked is the phrase 'Jack up point', the crack goes through the word Jack. It's really thick heavy plastic/fiber type stuff which is why it seemed out of place, I've never seen any other piece like it. Most under covers are thin plastic or metal.

Mine is partially broken on my 98 SR5 but I keep it on because it had to protect a little bit of something I would think. There are only a few bolts on it so it is easy to remove and put on when need be.

My 98 came with that thing and was still on even after 190,000 miles. I took it off though because it was cracked and didn't seem to offer that much protection from anything...

I'm pretty sure only 01 & 02's had it. Whenever I'm looking at used T4R's that thing is always cracked. LOL

Edit: Weird, seems to be no logical reason why some have it & some don't.
