Is this a bad idea?

My car is gonna be in the garage for a long time so I was just messing with different ideas for my new axle back exhaust set up. I had some tubing laying around and was trying to make a side exit this is the only way that would work without moving my o2 sensor.. Is it a bad idea to run the tube between the control arm and frame it seems like the arm doesn't travel to much but id like to collect some opinions.

Shove the axle to full bump and see if it hits the exhaust.

yes its a bad idea, you are exiting the exhaust right below a window and door, does anyone else see the issue?

Youre gonna get major fumes in the cab. And im sure the rubber bushing in that trailing arm wouldnt like the heat all that much.

I don't see how your truck even works being upside down like that...

its too close to ride like that. i can see it whacking everything when you crank the truck and if it does get flexed out at some point it would no doubt contact the frame or arm.

OK.. seems like more risk then reward here.. also it doesn't roll when its idling.. is this because the pipe is so short or what? Is this something i should be concerned about? I haven't gotten a chance to drive it so im not really sure how it performs

you mean the truck doesnt move in drive when idling? if thats the case you may have a caliper stuck or something going on with the rear brakes.

Interesting.. I should just be able jack it up and see if everything rolls free and easy right? It would have to be a decent amount of pressure to sop it from rolling on flat ground I would think

oh yeah, you should be able to see something not rolling well at all. my bets on a caliper, i think both of mine were stuck when i last did my brakes.

Seems very possible its been sitting in the garage for a pretty long time.. I guess ill just wait for the warm weather and take a look. Thanks for the advice
