So I just noticed some kind of grease and a slight gap on this part of my 4Runner that is not present on the same part on the drivers side. So my question is, what is it, should I be worried, and now what should I do?
Looks like your CV boot slipped off. Same thing happened to my truck after the lift. Its nothing to worry about, many have clocked thousands of miles before fixing. You can fix it with metal screw clamps or have the boot replaced with new grease.
