Is this Camelback radiator OEM?

That’s the same part # mine was when I got it. The factory rads are surprisingly cheap. I picked mine up from Lakeland Toyota for 140 bucks shipped. Some dealers will charge a lot more but that one seems legit to me, unfortunately the shipping charges are usually what brings the price up quite a bit

umm... Camelback doesn't really have better than average pricing (more expensive than my local dealer 100% of the time), and their customer service was crap, a complete joke the one time I ordered.

$113 before shipping from my local dealer. You should really check the dealers around you so you can do a local pickup. That way if it's damaged, you can refuse it at the counter... and damaged in shipping is extremely common.

And this radiator, while "oem", isn't the same as what was installed originally. Those are no longer available and last sold in the $600 range.

When I was purchasing parts for my exhaust manifold swap camelback came in over 100$ lower than my local dealership, even including the 10% discount I get at my local dealership.

Some people have had bad experiences with them, but I never have

So it's probably legit

Yeah I get that. I think it largely depends on the part. Camelback was way higher than McGeorge and other places when I was pricing out an OEM suspension rebuild, but they have lower prices on other stuff.

I think I was shocked because I saw a quote for 5-600 bucks for the first OEM one I looked at but it must've been one of the original Japanese-made units or something. Thanks for the feedback guys.
 
The dealer radiator is a good part. Buy with confidence. They’re cheap in the grand scheme. Cost less than 2 tanks of gas now. No reason to not replace them.
 
My "OEM" radiator came in a Lexus box and has a Denso sticker on the top. Looks every bit the quality part as the original, and yes, buy from your local Toyota parts counter guys. Unbox it on the spot and check for damage.
 
So update, they cancelled my order because "We regret to inform you that we no longer ship the following: Body parts, Batteries, Radiators, Fan Shrouds or hazmat items. At this time we can not fulfill your order. A full refund has been issued. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. " Took your advice and just going to pick one up at my local dealer.

The made in Japan radiator is pn 1640075181 usually in the $365+ range . I was told by Toyota parts that their cheaper priced radiators from Taiwan (16410-YZZAJ, 16410-AZ011, Denso 221-0508) were offered to compete with other similarly priced aftermarket radiators.

If you replace the radiator every hundred thousand miles per FSM then it's origin shouldn't matter too much

I've got a Taiwanese Denso in my two wheel drive that's been in there for 20-30 thousand miles and it still looks brand new
