Is this correct orientation on the front springs?

I have replaced ALL the suspension components up front and I mean all of it. I have gone many times over it and re torqued everything to spec.

I am getting this metal to metal clink clink clink sound when going over sharp small bumps. I have the shocks up front set to 3rd position and the car is perfectly leveled. The spring are KYB spring off of the shock /spring I bought and when the KYB shocks leaked I used the springs on the new 5100.

I am thinking the upper 2 coils and the bottom 2 coils are very very close to each other and basically touching. Could that be the problem?

Also, I installed the springs with the smaller diameter coil on the bottom.

Double check the torque if the lower control arms. They need to be significantly tight

100lbs for the lower arms.

Looks correct.
Did you get the bushing washer intsalled on the tophat...right under the tophat and above the coil? Some one just posted a misshap in that it was missing.

if you want to be anal about the spring, the lower end/ cut part or spring is suppose to be facing out as what it says in the manual.

Mine had 3 bushings on each shock so I installed that way on the Bilstein. Everywhere I see the top mounts come with 2 bushings.


Can someone give me the proper order of installing the bushings and the washer.

Part i was referring to is hard to see. The lower washer.
Shock/washer/bushing/tophat/bushing/washer...then the nut.

Did you torque down the lower shock bolt on the ground or in the air?
