Is this real?

My instincts tell me that there is no such thing and I have researched and found no such thing but there are a few people claiming they have 3rd gen srd TRD models on cl. I asked one guy and he claims it says TRD on the title. I trolled him for a while and asked him questions which led me to basically call him a liar and asked him to show me on the title where it says TRD..... and he couldn't produce it. First one claims to be an SR5 TRD sport model.

Second one just claims to be an SR5 TRD.

I can't view craigslist at work, but if the first one is 6250, my buddy might be going to look at it...if it isn't gone. Looked like a 98?

The first appears to have a scoop and color coated bumpers. Was that a SR5 option? If it were in Va Beach, I would be checking it out.

Both look like very nice well appointed T4Rs. Best year models too.
I would seriously consider both. That 99 5spd dual locked....Sweet....

1st one is an SR5 with a sport hood and TRD sticker

2nd one is an SR5 with a TRD sticker

I thought the models with color matched fender flares were a limited or a sport option? It's funny because it only has 1 TRD sticker, I looked at the photos and saw that only 1 side has it. HAHA

Step 1: Acquire 4Runner

Step 2: Add TRD sticker

Step 3: Sell for profit

Of course they'll sell for a profit. Those stickers add HP, and it's cheaper to do then adding a SC!

Strange with the "2000", It doesn't have the fat lip bumper. Like they added the early style bumper to it. I thought that was more difficult to do then just swapping bumpers.

On the '99 maybe they consider it TRD because it has the E-Locker in it...

It also has a painted to match grill.... which I want on mine, but I have a supercharger so no interest in either of these vehicles. Extra hp from stickers???? Sign me up. hahahaha

First one is a 2000 sport, and that's why it has the scooped hood, color matched grill, and color matched bumpers. However, the front bumper has been replaced with a '96-98 bumper. Relatively easy, direct bolt-on swap(aside from bumper signal connector differences). 2000-2002 SR5 have the big "Limited" flares with no body cladding.

I should ask him if he wants to swap grills. HAHA. Tell him that black gives extra hp and is a limited TRD thing that adds extra selling powers

What about the non-color matched stereo bezel?

Also enjoy how the first one only has 1 TRD sticker on the Passenger side. Does that only add 5hp to the 10 that 2 stickers provide?

I hate when people try and misrepresent cars they are selling. I simple vin lookup should tell you. They both seem to be SR5's though.

Wouldn't you have to cut the core support that is additional on the fat lips? Seems like a lot of trouble to go into to just put on a pre-2000 bumper. Unless maybe they had an aftermarket one and sold it separately.

Not sure, but I think the silver interior trim was added in the 01-02 models. Anyone with a 2000 or previous sport/highlander confirm or deny?
