Ok. I did the ISR and Deckplate mod a while back and also installed a True Flow filter. My question is this: doesn't the computer compensate for the extra air flow and in a way put it back to stock running condition? Wouldn't one have to install a chip to set the computer to stay where you want it for better MPG and performance?
When I first did the mod my 4runner was nice and loud and "asked" me to change gear at about 2500 RPM, seeing that I have a stick shift. But now, if I'm lead footing it, it wants me to change gear around 3500 RPM, and I don't get that sweet sound until I get into those higher RPMS. Any thoughts?
