ISR Intake Question?!?!

i wanna do this ISR mod but i seen a few people do it different ways so i am wondering which way is the best way to do my vacuum line??so my question is PICTURE 1 the one vacuum line is hooked to the 3" tube (just like the old one and PICTURE 2 its connected to another different line which way is the way to go?? and ideas help info or experience

ISR mod is fairly cheap, not sure if it helps MPG but I can say that I get about 18.5 on a regular basis.

The end result is the same. I havent had any catosrophic failure with this setup, so it works for me. I got this hose setup idea from a tacoma on tacomaworld forums
