ISR Mod Question

So after removing the airbox and fixing the issue with the igniter module I causes undecided to finally do the intake silencer removal mod.

So I do not have the spare capped off line in the back of the plenum. I do not have a spare vacuum line in the front of the plenum either.

For the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line do I now need to install a T or a barb into the metal tube I just installed in place of the silencer.

And I have a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner V6 engine.

I have googled this for a while but it seems most are able to use an extra vacuum line which I don’t have.

You need to have the one vent line on the back and one on the front of the tube for the FPR. The evap vent line will stay hooked up to the airbox.

I did a lot of searching and it looks like depending upon year there are different ways to do this "simple" mod.

I see some years have an extra unused vacuum line towards the back of the plenum. Others have one in front of the plenum. Some have put nipples on the pipe to replace the one on the resonator, etc.

But here is what I pulled specific to the 2000 model which is slightly different to the Airaid instructions it doesn't require 2 vacuum hoses.

on this 2000 I just "teed" into the vac line running across to the evap box, that runs across top of timing cover next to plug wires.. I have had no issues with fuel regulator or anything else since doing this 3.5 years ago. This one just had a piece of pipe cut to size for the delete got it off flea bay, correct inside and outside diameters just long and had to cut it...it was listed as a piece of turbo pipe, someone on this forum posted it up many years ago.. My first had a pipe that had a nipple. It was the section of pipe for a cold air system that was in pieces in a yard, On both I have stayed with the stock air box
