Issues with Marion Bumper2Bumper.

Has anyone heard from Bumper 2 Bumper?
I was trying to get more details about a big 3 kit and he just fell off. Last I heard he was trying to get me pictures of the kits and of how he connects the ends to the wires. That was honestly a month ago.

I ordered from him a month ago, and I was told 3-4 weeks. I know they said e was in a motorcycle accident I guess. I ordered the kit because I have a battery that I need to get into my truck, and I need the wires to to about 6 inches longer. Now my battery is barely holding on, and I'm still waiting. I sent him an email today, and his voicemail is full.

So I think it's kind of needless to say that I'm a little frustrated.

I placed an order for a stage 1 kit back in mid-March. I'm still waiting and I haven't heard anything back from emails or pm's.

Hopefully we can call this to the attention of someone around here. I think I'm going to have to call the PayPal people and see if I can get my money refunded. I put my order in to these guys in April. I knew that it may take some time to et my big 3 wiring upgrade. I have made some attempts to get in contact with Bumper2Bumper with no success. Last time I called his voicemail was full, and I sent an email last month. If I can't get my $150 back, I'll chalk it up as a loss, but I find it to be a pretty messed up deal that you're willing to take my money up front and fail to deliver the product.

Lots and lots of emails sent. Finally got him to send my wiring. According to him, the alternator is coming from another vendor. Haven't been able to get the shipping info for that out of him yet. I'm roughly at 12+ weeks from order date.

MyHigh, I am happy that I provided you some humor but I think you may have missed the point of this, I started this thread on Apr. 4th, which was 12Weeks after I ordered an Item that the Owner/CEO said would take 3weeks to ship out(9Weeks late)!
To say I was not Patient is a bit off, besides, I live overseas and have to order and ship EVERY part from the states and they all take time, but shipping time was never my complaint.

I in your situation I would also understand a longer delay, but never once did I say I was apart of a group buy. My dealings with B2B were strictly Business to Customer, we emailed and paypal money was sent then a completion time email was provided by the Business. I was not aware of any ongoing group buys on this board or others as that is his business not mine.
I was told 3 weeks before it would ship, and my first inquiry email was not until 4 weeks had gone by without any contact from him.

Actually his Alternators are outsourced to a different company, he builds the big 3 setups but I never ordered those, and did not know about the Alternators until much later. The quality seemed of the highest and I could not find any complaints when I looked to order so I was 100% in.

Nothing more needed to say on the group buy issue as I was not made aware of any ongoing large scale orders as that is not my business.

I never questioned the quality, only the lack of communication to his customers that have paid and waited for a product, which is easy to fix on his part.

Again, not part of the group buy, nor was I made aware of it.
I am very patient, if you read my actual post, patience is not the issue. Blowing a Deadline by 12 weeks or better yet going 5x the completion time is not good, but compounded with poor communication with customers is why I asked if others had this issue, since I had only read good reviews of him.

MyHigh, this is not meant to blast you, and the post was not meant to blast or burn Bill on the cross. I asked a question of the 3rd Gen forum, and then after some of the posts I saw, decided to keep a running log of what was happening. Some people get offended over things they should not, or defensive and try to pass blame off somewhere else.

This post is just an accurate account of MY experience with a vendor. Period!
The End Product looks beautiful and I plan to install today, I will gladly post on the "What did you do to your 3rd Gen Today" thread when it is installed to show it off and comment on the initial running. This thread could help future buyers to also understand that he sometimes has problems when doing group buys and gets himself overwhelmed, either way, the product did arrive, it took 15 weeks and some change to get it compared to the quoted 3 week time frame.

Okay I won't lie, I did not read a single word of this post.

However

It's as colorful as your engine!

I've finally got all of my kit. So while it does take foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to get your stuff, it does eventually show up and does appear to be good quality.

Did you get this resolved? I am in a situation now on my hub bearing assembly and waiting for 3 weeks so far, but promised 6-7 day lead time before shipping out?

Nope, it's been months at this point. I have resolved that I'm not going to get my money back. I don't have time to call PayPal about it all, I've simply written it off as a loss, and wish they could be booted as a vendor for being able to take my money and not deliver on their product. F those guys!

I think he is more known on Tacoma forums. Maybe go there and ask around. But honestly you don't even know how easy it is to make 3 separate wires that are thicker. And get a breaker. Might sound hard but it's not. And get a GM alternator if needed. Save your self a headache and $. I tried with him. And I just gave up.

Forget the GM alternator, no quality & it needs to be modified to fit.
Quality Power rebuilds/upgrades Denso alts that bolt/plug right in.

I ordered the wire upgrade from Bumper to Bumper this summer & it only took a few weeks to arrive. I know he botched the Group buy but I didn't have any issues with him except he's slow to answer & doesn't read pm/e-mails often enough. He also doesn't read too well because he didn't answer all of the questions I put to him & almost gave me a 5VZ harness instead of a 3RZ but I caught it on the invoice before he shipped it out.

Ive been waiting on a wheel bearing assembly for three weeks, that finally showed up yesterday!

I was emailing pretty consistently with him and was told of a delay, but then sent quite a few emails later with no reply whatsoever and then lo and behold the part showed up yesterday. I was told Id receive a confirmation email upon shipment which never came otherwise I wouldnt have been blowing him up.

Anyway, Id say that if you have to pick two out of timing, quality, and cost, then timing is where youll suffer ordering from Bill, but the cost and quality are on point!

Maybe he had some stuff going on in his life, or maybe he is just way too busy for his capacity, but either way, Ill just be sure to order the second assembly immediately so that when the time comes and I really need it, Ill have it. The fact is that this part looks rock solid and saves the user a ton of time and money.

Overall I think Ill be happy with the part but Bill, if you read this, a simple update and bit of honest communication goes a long way for many people and can avoid repeated annyoying emails from customers.

I finally emailed PayPal yesterday to try to get a refund. Forget this guy, don't take work if you can't deliver on your product.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING 7, YES 7 MONTHS. IF YOU HAVE BUSINESS GO ELSEWHERE.

I understand everything in life is buyer beware. This forum is what I feel like a pretty solid community. Pay the money, be a vendor and then not only not deliver on the timeline you said (3-4 weeks), but not at all.

admins is there anything that can be done to avoid anyone else getting done wrong?

Edit: FINALLY TALKED TO BILL on tuesday, he told me to email him, I did. Let's see how long it takes him to respond to my email asking for a refund.

Is bumper2bumper still around? I ordered some stuff 20 days ago and just emailed them with no response. Waiting for parts is no fun.

You can write that money off as a loss. I flushed $150 down the drain. I talked to Bill on the phone and he told me to email them and I have gotten no response. So I'm chalking it up as a loss and advising everyone to stay the hell away from this "business".

Thought I would update. Got my parts. Package says shipped 11/14 so usps took 5 days lol.
