Well...Don't know about the rest of the country but I just got a call from my dealer told me to :zoom: come and pick-up my 2010 4Runner today. They said it just arrived this morning and give them a couple hours to dress it up.

Bought it on 10/29 and they told me that it would arrive just about now!!!

jca21,

I understand your skeptism....check back in 5 hours (or sooner) - I should have the pics posted!

Congrats jt_4rnr !! waiting for the pics

4th Gen, 3rd Gen and Classic T4Rs have "Picture Threads" sticky in those subforums. While the 5th Gen section are all internet links and teaser shots.

I think its not too early to have a "Member Uploaded Pics also sticky in the 5th Gen subforum.( just a suggestion) :surfer:

By this time there are 5th Gen owners just lurking, atleast its not hard for them to post their first forum post..

What I want to know is if the 7-pin/4-pin hitch adapters is in your vehicle which is rumored to be causing delays. This thread and the other one doesn't match.

I just want to know that my car is on its path to being shipped out of Portland this week / first of next

Here you go.....You're looking at the pics of probably one of the first 2010 T4R in my home town (I think!!!)

The car is "BIG" and plenty of leg room(for 2nd row). Road handling is very smooth - of course I'm only driving in the city....There is no off-road where I live! People saw it and sat in it said it's like a baby "Sequoia"

Well...Can't tell you much more since I own it for only 2 hrs!!!

About 7-pin/4-pin adapter...I didn't even ask the dealer. I figure they'll call me when that part arrives and I have no plan of towing anything for now anyway.

these are pics of the first known non-dealer owner

As someone who put money down on mine back on October 16th, I can't tell you how jealous I am. This is really pissing me off.

I am being told that the dealers are not allowed to sell them. Clearly several different regions are now lying to me.

Anyways, looks good. Mine (if it even exists) is this color in the Trail Edition trim.

Thanks for sharing. A couple of questions

- If you don't mine- Whats MSRP and did you pay full sticker or was it discounted? I assume it's a base 4wd SR5

-Is the ride choppy/truck like or smooth like a CUV type and is it quiet of bad sections of road?

- It appears from the photos the interior has more plastic pieces than the last generation 4-runner. In person, do you find it of high quality?

congratulations sir.

i am hoping my 4runner arrives ASAP.

its like toyota doesnt want to make money? :)

Thanks for the input and congrats!

I don't know why people are hung up on this. Look at any other recent car or truck. If you don't get leather they are all 100% plastic! (Unless you can afford a luxo with the odd token stick of polished wood.) I think Toy does a reasonable job of pulling off a quality interior compared to others. Padded dashes for crash standards are a thing of the past now that there are airbags.

I dont know why toyota would take away the manual transmission. It would seem like many people would get the manual rather than the auto if it was available
