Ivan Stewart TRD Decal on 2012 SR5?

Hey folks ... I ordered the Ivan Stewart Decal set to put on my 2012 SR5 and am getting cold feet. Because of the fuel door, the only real place they fit is pictured here or infront of the fuel door which I don't think looks good at all. I could put them on the rear side windows I guess. What do you all think? Go for it or scrap the idea all together? :shrug:

Not necessarily a bad look, maybe a more subtle way to get the TRD logo on there would be to get a smaller sticker to go in the corner of the window right above that. Either way those are some nice wheels!

You could possibly install it over the gas door, and slit it with a razor blade.

Something small in the rear window would look better imo.

Thanks Jam ... I could certainly do the smaller decal for sure. I'm trying to envision what the finished product might look like. I've ordered N-Fabs and the spacer Kit from RIDE, will probably get my Gobi Stealth w/ladder before the price increase and eventually will get stock size Duratracs when I save my pennies up. This forum is going to drain the bank account for sure!! :lol:

Thanks Philsey ... I taped it over the door to see what that might look like and it looks a bit awkward for sure. It's a bit too small to do the whole slit trick over the fuel door.

I agree with KCcarguy. Put it on wherever you think is best, if its your style tho. I'm all for everyone doing what they like best, but adding stickers looks tacky IMO.

As a former motorcycle road racer I find this interesting. Paying to advertise for a major manf. Back in my racing days they paid us to advertise for them and provided the decals.

Now I pull off all manf logos on my cars or blacken out those I cannot until they begin to mail me a monthly check for advertising.

But like the other poster said its your vehicle to do so as you please. But I will still ask why would you want the great unwashed know you support the T_U_R_D as my wife calls the logo ? :rockthrow:

Ya I have to say I don't like the idea. Too big. I did put a TRD grille badge on the front of my truck (subtle).

So, based on all your (ahem) candid feedback I scrapped the idea to put them on either side of the truck and since I just got my Gobi rack, decided to utilize the decal this way. Still waiting on my sunroof insert (12 weeks and counting) but as soon as I get a decent spring day I'll try and get it installed. Be gentle ... I know a lot of you aren't decal fans! :hiding:

Those style of TRD stickers work better on the older 4Runners since that font is from the older era of Toyotas. I don't mind one or two OEM style stickers when done tastefully but you;ll never see me throwing stickers for drinks,shoes,sunglasses or the like since that does seem to be a little retarded.

I like the TRD theme on mine since it appears factory and the Highlander/Sport models are as close to a TRD 4Runner that Toyota didn't offer. I even used the colors that matched the TRD stickers on the green Tacomas.
