Thanks, I know it will be a big undertaking, but I am pretty confident in my wiring ability...I hope. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.

Getting ready to order my switch panel for the rear of the truck. I am going to mount it on the side of the driver side wheel-well. (that way I can easily access the back for wiring through the rear wheel well storage mod).
Here is a picture of the panel I just finished designing. There will be another switch not on this panel that will act as a safety/kill switch so no cargo can roll around and accidentally turn on my lights/compressor.

Ha yea that was more of an impulse thing. I talked to Mark (RiDE) when I was ordering the rack and told him I wanted something for the side. He talked to Gobi and they came up with a custom mount that could accommodate a 6" per side (see picture at the bottom of the post). I actually didn't have the lights at the time but figured why the not get the rack with the spaces for lights already built in (because these type of mounts could not be added after)- then I can add the lights later when I can afford them.
I thought I would have the rack before the lights but as it turns out all these light mounts plus the overflow of traffic over at Gobi has pushed my rack back a lot and I ended up being able to pick up the extra set of lights before the rack came in.
So now I am just patiently waiting...:hungry:

So this Build Thread is officially ALL over the place, but that's ok, I'm just posting updates as I get them.
I heard from Black Flames Customs yesterday and he sent me some pictures of my lights in progress.
It's not pictured but the amber has also been removed. The next steps are adding Blizzard Pearl paint to the shrouds and the high beam reflector, and then adding in halos. I am really liking them so far!

Thanks! I am really excited about where it is going. I talked to Sandra at Gobi this morning and they said they were packing the rack - so I'm hoping for a Friday or early next week delivery. I have been wiring all weekend to prepare for the rack to get here. Hopefully I will be all done by the time it shows up so I can just install the rack and connect the lights!
I was unsure where to start as well, but I figured the rack was a pretty versatile addition to the 4Runner, you can use it for transporting small items, storing bags, lights, etc. And then when RiDE offered the group buy I just jumped on it.

My lights are finished! They just need to be heat sealed and they should get to me next week sometime. I LOVE the way these turned out. I was just kind of throwing out ideas to the guys at BFC and they really did a fantastic job on these.
This is everything that they did:
High beam projector painted Blizzard Pearl
White LED bulb in the high beam
FX-R bi-xenon Projectors
White CCFL Halos
Amber removal
Headlight housing painted black
Shrouds painted black and Blizzard Pearl
Can't wait to get them on my truck! Here are some pictures.

This is sweet how they painted those inner areas. Can't wait to see that on your truck. Care to disclose the cost?

Yea I really like how the paint turned out. That made it worth it to have someone else do the retrofit for me. I stink at painting things, just don't have the patience and always end up rushing it.
I will let you know as soon as the final invoice hits my inbox. I can tell you that the initial quote was about the same as what people have been paying lightwerkz, except with a new set of headlights included in my price. That was one of the big deciding factors for who did my lights.

I should be getting them on Friday or early next week. I had a delay in paying for them because I had to wait for PayPal to transfer the money I needed from my bank account so I could avoid the cc fee. Super excited to get them in though!

Yea I will probably remove the JJ adverts soon. Although I am family friends with the owner of the dealership (helped me to get a good deal) so I will probably not hear the end of it if I do...

Update on what's going on.
Headlights should be here soon so I will hopefully have them installed by the end of next week.
There was a ....let's call it "mixup" with my rack - so that's out another month or two. (Both Gobi and RiDE have been very professional in handling the mistake and I have been more than taken care of - so I am happy)
I got the compressor custom mounted last week and I wired it up yesterday. I will plum it up and post pictures soon.
I am almost all done installing all my OTRATTW switches and wiring for my lights. The switches look GREAT!
I will post lots of pictures of the installed compressor and switches at the end of the week.
Also I've got about 2/3 of the parts in house needed to build a Hbryanlopez clone...excited about that one!

Wow. This is going to be a new favorite of mine Im guessing, and probably get me kicked out of my house for wanting to spend more money on mine. I am jealous of the skill sets that many of you have on this board when it comes to DIY mods, I am certainly still learning. Your ride is already impressive and I have yet to see a good pic lol. Those headlights are amazing! Keep up the good work and subscribing!

Thanks! The best way to learn is to read on here, do some research and get out there and start trying things! I appreciate the comments and will definitely get some much better pictures with a REAL camera when I have time.
