There's only a few states that require you to have off-road lights covered. CA isn't one of those states. If you want protection, you might want to try some Xpel clear covers. They're usually cut to fit and the just stick on to your lights. I have them on my headlights, fogs and turn signals. I have some 3M stuff left over from my M3 that I was thinking of cutting to put on my Hellas.
