How's the acceleration with both of the bumpers on? Still got enough passing power?

Yup. I was actually afraid that the V6 wouldnt be good enough with all the wait on. But the acceleration is still quite good. I am in the market for a Diesel Swap :) :) Mabye an Isuzu 3.9L

To be honest I didn't even consider the light racing. ICONs were out of my price range so I called my buddy at rebel off-road to see what he recommended. He suggested the TC arms. I assumed they were even more than ICON. When he told me they were 650 I just pulled the trigger. Plus they look fancier than the Lightracing :)

I agree these are much prettier! :boink:

What made you not consider the light racing? Just looks or is there and major difference? (Sorry for all the questions filling up your build thread)

Look into Cummin 3.9L deisel engine I've seen one of these engines in a 3rd gen he pulled it out of a pretty serious generator. I'm not sure what transmission he used but it hooked up to an atlas 2 drop transfercase and turned rockwells front and rear, (i wish i had pics to show!!) I met the guy in a mcdonalds parkinglot so there was only so much info i could remember lol. he was ridding on 44" TSL's it was a standard transmission but he said it was more like direct drive he never used any other gear than 5th lol he's geared wayyyyy low. This was his competition crawler he tow's it all over the country its white with a full exo-skeleton incase you ever see it on a trailer somewhere. Anywho i had plans to do a deisel swap once i got another Daily driver & the cummins 3.9L was the direction i was headed just thought i'd share

Also , trucks looking great man any travel gains from the new TC UCA's?

Have you guys looked into dieseltoys.com? It's expensive, but a turn key diesel for the 4th gen. They swap in the low mileage D4Ds and a couple other Toyota diesels I believe. Includes transmission (auto or manual) and they will perform a 4x4 conversion if needed/wanted.

I've seen magazine's brag that JKs are getting something like 35 mpg on 37s. I can't imagine that kind of fuel economy on top of the added power. I'd love to drop in a diesel myself but it's way too far out of my budget... for now.

Diesel swap in CA is impossible apparently.

Our smog requirements are way to high. It is definitely possible in other states though.

I never even knew about the Lightracing until after I purchased the TC arms.

To be honest it was kind of an impulse buy, but im super glad I went with the TC arms. Im sure there will be a tad more flex/travel offroad but its definitely more rigid on road. No more lane wandering.

Update!

Got my skirts painted to match my fenders. It carries the black through a little better. Also my BAMF LCA skids arrived. Should have them installed by thursday!

BAMF Skids mounted!!! :boink:

Had to do minor trimming to the factory skid plate and widen one of the holes on the control arm. Nothing too serious.
