The Mods Begin

First I started with a removal of the running boards, rubber rear mud flaps, and the rear spoiler.

Bum sauce

No more than two days later I was driving home from work in a residential area when this truck pull all the way to the left of the side street almost came to a complete stop and then as soon as i got close to him he immediately pulled right in front of my truck to go right into his driveway without using his turn signal... i was bummed to say the least...

When buying this truck i had planned on putting armor on the truck.. front bumper, rear bumper, rock sliders and skid plates.. but i wanted to wait until i did my lift first so i could save up some more money as it was not first on my list...

Luckily for me this horrible situation couldn't have turned out better! I got the bumper a little sooner that i Had planned.. This bumper was almost a perfect swap for what the stock bumper would have costed.. So basically insurance paid for my aftermarket front bumper! I got this made by 4xInnovations in Wisconsin.. i went a picked it up from them.. I also wanted to get the headlight protector because i had later planned on doing the retrofit projector upgrade and didn't want it to get ruined say this happen again...

Then i took off the grill so that i could paint it black along with the emblem. At this time I also smoked my corner lights and taillights.

Here i attempted to plasti dip my emblems black but i did not go heavy enough on the coats so i had a hard time peeling off in the tight areas so ended up taking them all off and to paint them with real paint so that i could clean the rest of the plasti dip off the truck..
