JBL Audio, with Nav

I have the double-din JBL HU with Nav option in my 2005. Recently the radio has started to go on the fritz. I'll press a pre-programmed station, such as 99.9fm and then randomly, anywhere from 30secs to 5mins later, it will just jump to a different unprogrammed frequency that is just static. I press the preprogrammed button again and the radio goes back. This cycle keeps repeating.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thats wierd does it go from KSIW 99.9 to KZOK 102.5 and will it play RUSH.
If it plays RUSH then it is fine.
:drum:

Consider yourself either lucky or seeing the beginning of it failing. My navigation stopped working, then my iPod connection stopped working and finally the radio got flaky as you're seeing and finally the whole thing failed.

I now have one with a cassette player, such is life with a 10 year old truck.

BOSMECH yes, KISW is my freq. of choice in the mornings. I get super pissed when it glitches during my Beat Migs fix! :D
CookieRoe & CXS: nope, don't particularly like it. I don't use the nav since I have the smart phone (except when I visit Canada to save on my LTE Bill :D), have never used the voice navigation, have never used the built in 6-CD changer.

It's basically just a glorified connecter between my phone for Pandora/Radio and the speakers. The Radio quality is so bad sometimes that I even use the KISW app on the phone and use the 3rd party connector that connects the iPhone as a "seventh CD".

This site has been great for advice so will prob upgrade to a Pioneer/Scion HU that has bluetooth streaming etc so I can get rid of the cables.

Cheers

Mike

That's what we are hear for: friendly advice. To be truthful, my OEM NAV is starting to bore me. Then again, I have no money so I'll have to live with it, LOL.

Same here. Can't afford a complete overhaul of my Synthesis system at this time :(

Sucks. I was (still am, sort of) interested in Scion radio (T1819 ). I also like the Pioneer 8000NEX (appleplay, Hd everything, navigation to Pluto, genital scratcher, you name it). Also wanted to replace the speakers.

Some day.
