JBL Sound Issue

Hey guys just wanted to post my issue in case anyone has experienced it.

So I discovered recently that the sound in my rig is weird. the volume up front sounds 100%, but it sounds like the rest of the speakers both in the rear seats and cargo area are at like 50%. I've triple checked all the sound settings and it just sounds like the sound is suffering everywhere but all the front speakers. What's weird is that the sub is still pounding nicely, just basically sounds like the volume in the rear seats and cargo area is "turned down." Any help would be appreciated.

Yep, that's normal, for whatever reason, the rear speakers are not as strong. I noticed a big improvement when I put a set of coaxial 3 way speakers back there powered by the stock amp, otherwise, you can try fading it slightly to the rear to balance it out a bit

Moving from Surround On/Off impacts this as well. I have mine set with FADE R+3 and this equalizes it well.

The normal setting is so you don't blow your rear seat passengers ears. When riding in the rear, on normal, it is fine. Cars make horrid acoustic studios, so sacrifices are made.

Usually people who make their own sound systems almost always bias toward a single driver, and as a result, damn near make you deaf when riding in the rear with them. They place that huge SUB 2 feet from your ear.

JBL attempted to balance these considerations.
