I think you might have that installed upside down.

Really? Which part?

It's the part where the actual antenna mounts, the part that can be rotated by turning the knob. It's flipped upside down. Check the website for the company (google rs-720) or look at the pic of deedst4r you posted.

Ah! I see it now, thanks!

Hey gaterose, deest4r, and/or zstampe do you guys have any good tips/tricks to keep the comet mount tight? I ran through some trees the other night and my antenna knocked it loose

Hmmm, never had an issue with mine. I've had it on there for awhile too.

My antenna gets lose all the time.. It is quite annoying. I also can't go through a parking garage with it on. Y'all ever tried that? I must say it was a little funny on my first attempt.

Went and met a couple of my buddies for lunch today and picked up a 48" Hi-Lift from one of my buddies. I need to find a way to mount the jack to the roof to keep it up and out of the way. Does anyone know of any good Hi-Lift Mounts for the 4Runner?

I have mounts that look just like those but the U-Bolt portion of it isn't long enough. I cant get enough thread on to feel comfortable with it holding together. Maybe that mount is a little bigger?
