Jicko Build Thread ...

Awesome stuff you have done.

Thanks! More to come....

Any chance we can get a shot of those DRL Leds in daylight? I also didn't see if you followed up about the regular DRLs having to remain on or not when active. I would assume not since these have their own button.
I am debating on new fogs and these were the ones I been eyeballing but haven't really seen any good shots of them on peoples vehicles.

I have been putting off the "ring DRL" installation for a while.... I have plans to revamp a bunch of frontend wirings and lighting.... and I am *still* gathering materials..... once I get them on, I will definitely post some pics...

Eco light can be turned off in the settings menu

Found that out after "searches" on this forum.... thanks anyway!

The build is coming along nicely Jicko. I've got a couple quick questions on your lights on the rack, specifically the reverse lights. How well do they work up there with the spoiler and such? Also, do they get in the way when using the ladder?

I need to add some reverse lights to my rack, I can't see a thing reversing on the trail at night, but I'd also like to add a ladder and don't want them to get in the way of each other. I assume they are wired separately to a switch and not directly to the stock reverse lights?

Thanks for the tip on the clear bra for the wind fairing too. I'm about to order some to put under my fairing.

Those are not "really" for reversing, I will write them up so that they flashes (emergency vehicle type).... they will be useful when running trails, running sand dunes, or running mojave in the middle of the night.... so that others see you....

For reverse, I am considering installing 2 flush mounted Rigid D-series at the bumper.

Some recent pics.... (still haven't write up some of the new installs tho... coming soon....)

This is exactly how I want my T4R! I just picked up a 2015 silver SR5P and I will probably use yours as a guide for mine, I mean if that's cool with you! [emoji3]

I was lagging on write-ups for quite a few installs. But here are some pictures from this past weekend.

Highlights:
- Tepui tent deployed and in action
- Newly installed, Wi-fi controlled, music sync'ing, blinking/color-changing RGWB LED strips (inside the tent, under the tent, and under the awning); it's a partayyyyyy!
- ARB fridge in action
- Cargo slider in action

Oh also, behind the RTT, I have space for SIX 5gal Scepter Jerry Cans..... so I can have a combination of gas and water up there.... 20gal of gas plus 10gal of water, or 25gal of gas plus 5gal of water.... etc....

What model Tepui tent is that? And what's the real-world usable space in it (how many adults can it sleep)? Nice looking set up though!

The one in the picture is Autana. It comes with a room under the ladder too, I just don't need to deploy that. That itself can sleep a couple of people.

It is 56 x 95 sleeping area, with a 48" inside height. You can measure up that sleeping area in your own living room and judge by yourself how many people can sleep in there. I think 3 should be very comfortable. I have no issue fitting 2 adults and 2 kids in there (but we are "smaller" built).

At Discount Tires now.....

Have jumped thru LOTS of HOOPS to get here....

Last look of the SR5 wheels and stock tires:

Their "sole mates" are waiting:

And I'm sitting right here waiting too......

I like the black TRD wheels. Can you use the stock tires with these?

Another session of "paper modding"..... trying to figure out how to utilize the factory/original foglight control to product an on-demand foglight effect. ie. whenever the car is ON, the foglight will be ON whenever the foglight control is turn to the ON position no matter what light state you are. By default, the foglight will ONLY come ON when you are in low-beam mode; DRL and high-beam will have the foglight turned OFF.

The only cons here is that the FOG light indicator is no longer true to whether the foglight is on or off.

I think by adding 1 relay & a fuse, and wiring up like how I illustrated in the diagram here should do the trick.

Go with mine on this. http://m.ebay.com/itm/2014-2015-4ru...Covers-FREE-SHIPPING-/111800890238?nav=SEARCH

Nice build so far and a lot of your thread to get through. [emoji6]

I pulled the trigger on the Toyota (Southeast) P/N:00016-48011 "LED Fog Light & DRL 2in1", its not cheap, but it is really the best solution I had seen (a Fog light that is color matched to my 4300K HID). I also dig the fact that it is also a LED DRL.

I'm looking at possibly getting these. How are they working out for you? How do they compare to OEM fogs?

I haven't found any night pictures of these yet showing low beams only and low beams with fogs. Do you happen to have any you could share, from the drivers seat perspective?

I was busy out playing...... but I *need* to update this build thread...... some day.... I promised.....
