Jiffy Lube fraud caught on tape

......as much as this paints everyone with the same brush as being a crook, there are plenty of honest dealers and shops around that will do the job right. Now playing the devil's advocate, perhaps the blame can be placed on the 'ignorant people' :headslap: that don't bother learning or ask to be taught about the basics of their vehicle they depend on so much nowadays so that they can verify that the servicing gets done properly......this crap just doesn't happen in the car servicing industry......the weak sheep will always be preyed upon by the wolves......

i think i might put my dealership to the test next time....
prob not a smiley face on a fuel filter but something to check like that
any other ideas on how we could look out and test our spots?
i also know that as its summer now and not that cold ill try doing my own maitnace to my ability

I agree that Jiffy Lube is a POS company. Don't ever go to those lube and tune places for work. Your best bet is a dealership or local mechanic. But either way, you should call BBB and see if there are many, if any, complaints lodged, how often, and when. Also, word of mouth is a good way to find out as well.

Also, buy a mechanic manual, and read up about your vehicle. The more you know, the more likely you are to catch fraud, or do the work yourself.

My favorite experience with Jiffy Lube was when they told me my fuel injectors were dirty and needed the a cleaning service. I just laughed and said no thank you. My car had a Carburetor.
