Yes the transmission pump will pump it out. I like to pump it back in at the same time.

That's what I did, I poured it in while the pump pushes it out at idle. I opened the output of the radiator to catch the old fluid into a 5 gal bucket until the fluid coming out was clean.

I'm with you there, Speedy. Mine have well over 100K on them, lifted, wheel spacers and have wheeled a bit. Not sure when I will do them again, but I will definitely be on the lookout for that video to see the condition of them when you go to replace them.

Mike you know this makes me nervous just looking at!! Lol. OEM LBJ's > everything else. It just feels too risky. Don't you have these on your rig? How are they holding up?

If the dirt and water get in the socket it's over... hence why I like grease fittings. Push the dirt out the joint lasts a lot longer.

Maybe that's why I've had good results with the Moog tie rods. The outers have a zerk on them that I can attach a coupler to in order to pump grease in them. Perhaps I should do that soon. I think I did sometime last year but I don't think I documented it anywhere.

They work great (for me) and are an alternative to OEM for folks that need more articulation than stock

Also using ARP bolts (vs factory) which can be done with OEM LBJs too

$15.48/ea at Walmart. Bought two in preparation for my front diff drain and fill. It was the cheapest they had and actually the only 75W-90 they had available. Otherwise I would've used anything cheaper.

Love my truck. But due to some things I need to be mindful. So cheap and good is good for me. It has AMSOIL in it right now.

I think sometimes us fanatics over think fluids. I would expect that "cheap" fluid to be just fine for how you use the vehicle. I've got Mobil 1 to put in mine I think it was about $12 a quart? I found a 6 pack on Amazon:

When the recommended service interval for transfer case/diff fluid is 30k miles I wouldn’t be too worried about putting in the expensive stuff.

With synthetic fluids I've gone to 100K on mine. We'll see how the fluid looks shortly as it's at 100K now and I'm going to change it in the next week or two.

Agreed! And I tend to do my service ahead of time. My front diff is another story, though. I'm running SuperTech fluids in my engine and rear diff. Think I still have amsoil in the t-case.

The amsoil that's in my front diff right now has over 100K on it, too. I'm very curious to see how it will look when it gets drained. Hopefully the amsoil has held up well over the years.

Grabbed some grub with a buddy of mine and decided to get some photos while the weather was still weird. It had been raining but the sun was trying to come out, so there's no filter on these. Just regular and portrait mode from my S22 Ultra.

Starter replacement done. Out came the original Toyota starter and in went a Denso reman unit. Upon startup it sounds crisp and clean with no hesitation at all or any metallic grinding sounds. Definitely glad I went with another Denso product. I had my bro give me some help, and with his knowledge and perspective, we were able to figure out what tools we needed and what angles to approach things at.

It wasn't an exciting job but the level of excitement and happiness I felt when we got the original starter removed was incredible. A weight had been lifted off my shoulders. All in all, I will say it was one of the more annoying jobs I've ever had to do, but I am very grateful that I had the help to do it.
