Mr. Mom, wouldnt you be that robin williams movie mrs. Doubtfire? I know sme members here dislike the way my truck is, but this is how i want my truck to look, i do get strange looks when im driving, this forum have lots of lifted and non lifted trucks, some done right and some are done wrong, everyone here has dumped tons of money to there trucks. Some know what mod is done right and wrong also. We are here on the forum to learn and get ideas, we are here to help each other out.

It's people's choice. I think the people will choose the 4Runner they think is the best in the competition. There will be tons of factors outside of just the build, like are the helpful or a dick just to name one. I think a lot of people can appreciate different setups and I'd probably vote for someone with a lowered 2wd, with a limited slip and a supercharger or something like that if it really was the best one. Also I think uniqueness or doing something no one else has done to help out others would make for a good candidate. But at the end of the day most people on here like the look of a lifted 4runner with a bunch of steel, lights, and accessories. Then if they take good pictures I'm usually sold, for example I remember voting for DawgRunner specifically because I honest just loved looking at the pictures in his build thread. Either way, may the best 4Runner win.

I can see where it gets a old continuing vote for essentially the same style of 4Runner. But, that is a pretty standard look/outfit for a truck like this. Other than Whitebeauty and riceandpho, I can't think of any other street styled 4Runners. But, I don't pay much attention because that is not my style (sorry).
I kind of think the voting ends up coming down to which Runner voters are lusting after the most, or which one they plan to copy in their own build. There are plenty of rigs without sliders, steel bumpers and light bars that (I think) are really cool and deserving of the honor. But, those are all considered too plain or boring in comparison to the trail built rigs. When you think about it, we only get to vote for the 4th Gen guys twice/year. So, all the moderately built rigs don't stand a chance against the "big boys" in their trail rigs
Personally, my rig fits my needs perfectly, and all that other stuff (while cool) would be overkill for my needs. Plus, I have way to many other hobbies to spend my money on. The most important of which is a new kid. Count another stay at home dad here too.

Maybe a revision of the competition would give people an additional chance to be recognized. Maybe different categories separated by month within our generation. So for example within the 4th gen section we have a completion every month. Say one month is budget build, brst college kid build, street build, cleanest truck, best offroad, mall crawler, etc. then at the end of the year we could vote for 4th gen of the year from the winners of the other categories. It wouldn't necessarily have to interfere with the main 4R of the month completion but could be something within the sub-forum. It'd be cool to recognize people for having cool trucks and get more sub-forum activity. But just a suggestion of course.

I don't really think that is necessary. To break it down so "everyone wins" kind of defeats the purpose of the contest in my opinion. Then again, I doubt anyone builds their rig up to for the purpose of being nominated/winning T4ROTM.
Of course the sponsor prize is nice, but I'm sure all the nominees are grateful just to be recognized for their work. If you want to recognize people that don't make the cut for T4ROTM comment or Like their build thread. Everyone like to hear nice things about their ride, right?
Could you please add fedrlbiker to the list of nominees? He was nominated and seconded after all.

Just for the record skylinegtr was seconded too but at that point there were already 5 people with seconds, so I'm not really sure if we should have 7 nominees or just take the first five as I usually do
