So I'm taking misc little parts I need, screws/clips/bolts kinda stuff.
I notice a bunch of well-scorched fuses under the hood. I was thinking of getting the wires just to have, but with those burnt fuses, should I avoid the wiring from that car?
Also, on the topic of salvage.yards, what are some good donor vehicles to scavange general Toyota parts from? That is, will be fairly consistent through the years? I'm thinking along the lines of: wires, connectors, dc motors, relays, clips, screws, etc--you know, the misc kind of stuff you want to always have extra of.
Also, eventually I want to rebuild my oem alternator. I need the rectifier and regulator. Which other vehicles might have those compatible parts? Lots of Toyotas/Lexus in the yard, but only one 4Runner.
