Seriously - they replaced it under warranty?

yeah, i told the mechanic that every once in a while i was unable to see my speedo due to sunlight hitting the scratches. he said that it sounded like a safety issue and replaced it.

I had some scratches on the lens of my 95 a few years ago and ended up trying rainx to rub them out. I don't know if it filled them or polished them, but the scratches disappeared.

Just use some good soft paper towels like Viva or Bounty when you try to buff it.
